What You Should Know

Grant funding can be transformational, but it is never guaranteed. Even with a strong mission, a worthwhile project, and a well-matched funder, the final decision rests with the grantmaker.

What experienced grant support can do is improve your odds. Good grant work helps clarify your message, strengthen your supporting materials, and present your request in a way that is clear, credible, and aligned with funder priorities.

At mo:), we approach grantwriting as both a writing discipline and a strategic process. Some clients come to us ready to apply. Others need help getting their materials, goals, and internal language into shape first. Both are normal.

Who We Work With

We work primarily with startups, early-stage nonprofits, capacity-building initiatives, and understaffed organizations that need experienced support on a project basis.

While we have contributed to large requests, including awards over $500K, our focus remains organizations that may not need, or cannot yet justify, full-time development staff—but still deserve thoughtful, high-level support.

Pricing

Grant strategy and consultation begins at $85/hour, with a 10-hour minimum for well-prepared organizations.

Full proposal development, substantial restructuring of materials, or complex grant support may be quoted separately on a project basis.
